We have also helped public safety, first responders and numerous government agencies develop RFPs, analyze results and acquire next generation IP-based voice, video, communications center and unified communications solutions for over twenty years.

Understanding of 9-1-1/PSTN/ISDN/Wireless Technologies Design, Operations and Project Management Experience

​

• The 9-1-1 senior practitioners Bill Elliott, ENP and Roberta Fox have been and are actively involved in the CRTC ESWG NG9-1-1 standards committees helping lead the development of the NG9-1-1 Canadian standards.  They work with clients to develop the future NG9-1-1 strategies and overall technology architecture and design, as well as assist PSAPs in acquiring and deploying NG9-1-1 solutions.

• Bill has helped develop, install and manage the 9-1-1 telecom operation for a leading national telecommunications provider. He also worked with multiple police, health care, first responder and PSAP organizations to design and project manage 9-1-1 telecommunications carrier services.  

​

• Roberta Fox, Pat Blythe and Eugenia Yau have each designed, configured and project managed numerous enterprise, government and first responder 9-1-1 command centers or enterprise telephony environments over the past 20+ years.

​

• Susan Dineen helps develop effective human capital and training requirements by leveraging her unique combination of practical business and senior management experience.

​

All of the 9-1-1 Tech Advisor technology professionals have been involved in the design and deployment of  numerous communications solutions for police, public safety, government, non-profit or enterprise organizations, including development of policies and practices for communications solutions.  This includes wired and wireless telephony, network and communications centre elements used on various mobile and fixed computing devices.

​Telecommunications, Healthcare & Regulatory Experience

We have also been involved in the regulatory area for competitive telecom services as experts, and are active in promoting the 9-1-1 next generation CRTC proceedings in Canada.

• 9-1-1 Tech Advisors Executive & Founder, Roberta Fox, was Vice President and chaired the Telecom Public Policy Committee for the Canadian Business Telecom Alliance (CBTA), a former national professional business user oriented organization that successfully lobbied for telecommunications competition (CRTC Bill 92-78).   She also led the Telecom Public Policy Committee for the Information Technology Association of Canada for four years, and was a member of the Information Highway Advisory Task Force under Industry Canada.  Roberta is a former Board of Governor of the Telecommunications Hall of Fame, a telecommunications industry virtual museum.

• Roberta is actively involved in multiple NG9-1-1 CRTC ESWG working committees related to the development of NG9-1-1 standards, operating procedures and practices.

​

• Bill Elliott, ENP, is a retired NENA Certified 9-1-1 professional, the FOX 9-1-1 Ambassador and has been deeply involved in three generations of 9-1-1 technology from a carrier and customer perspective.  He participated in multiple CRTC ESWG working committees and co-authored standards on NG9-1-1 specifications.
